Yes, you will be invited to see the venue set up on several occasions before your own event.

What time will my guests need to be off site?
This will depend on the package you have chosen. Once your event has finished, guests will have 20-30 minutes to leave site.

How many guests can you accommodate during the day and in the evening?
We can accommodate a maximum of 400 guests in the ballroom and 200 guests seated in The Coach House.

Is the wedding venue available for exclusive hire?
Yes, we only hire exclusively for your event.

Who will be the point of contact in the lead up to the wedding?
You will be given contact details for your very own event co-ordinator on the day.

How flexible are you with the timings of the day?
Depending on the package you have booked, our hours are from 7.30am – midnight.

Are fireworks allowed?
Yes, this will always need to be booked directly with Celestial Fireworks.

Is confetti allowed?
Confetti is allowed outside as long as it is biodegradable.

Is linen included?
Plain white linen is provided for one set up only.

What size tables do you have?
We have 6ft round tables which seat up to 12 guests. We also have ten 6ft trestle tables available for you to use.

Do you have disabled access?
Yes, we do.

How many toilets are there?
In the ballroom we have 4 cubicles for women including 1 disabled toilet, 3 cubicles and 1 disabled toilet for men along with 3 urinals, and 1 baby changing room. In the Coach House we have 4 unisex toilets including 1 disabled toilet and a separate baby changing and nursing room.

Are there any venue restrictions?
Yes: confetti must only be used outside and be biodegradable. No helicopter landing. No Chinese lanterns. No helium balloons can be let off and no sparklers. You are also not allowed any one-time-use plastic. UK legislation bans the sale, supply and use of many single-use plastic items because of their harmful impact on the environment, as part of the government’s effort to reduce plastic pollution and waste.

What’s your weather contingency (back-up) plan for outdoor spaces?
If part of your day or evening has been planned outside, you will discuss contingency plans with your event co-ordinator. Don’t worry, we won’t leave anything to chance.

What staff do you include?
We provide an event co-ordinator, stewards and security.

Can we use indoor pyrotechnics?
Yes, you can.

Can I use dry ice/fog?
Yes, you can.

Can we have lawn games?
Yes, you can. This will need to be discussed with your event co-ordinator to ensure health and safety risk assessments have been met.

Can we have a bouncy castle?
Yes, you can, as long as it is supervised and placed on the lawn.

Do you provide heaters or umbrellas for the outdoor space?
No, we do not provide outdoor heaters or umbrellas.

What security service do you offer?
Security is provided as part of your package and will stay for the entirety of your event. For daytime events with no alcohol you will have 1 security guard; for evening events or where alcohol is being served you will have 2 security guards.

Do you have a cloakroom?
No, we do not have a cloakroom.

Is there a designated smoking area?
Yes, we have a small hut on the side of the venue.

What time can my vendors set up?
Vendors are able to come in from 7.30am. Wherever possible, we will try to accommodate suppliers’ needs of coming in earlier.

Are we allowed to bring in our own decorations?
Yes, you will also need to arrange for someone to set these up.

Can we use candles?
Yes, as long as they are non-drip candles and not a naked flame.

Do I have to use your recommended suppliers?
No, you can use your own suppliers as long as they provide the correct credentials, i.e. Public Liability Insurance, Health & Safety documents, Food Hygiene Certificates, PAT testing, or all that apply. Your supplier is responsible for sending us the relevant documentation and will need to conduct a site visit.

Are there any décor restrictions?
If you would like to attach any decoration to the ceiling, walls or pillars, this will always need to be arranged through Krystal Group.

Can we have live cooking?
Yes, you can have live cooking outside.

Is an outdoor area included for cocktail reception?
We have the patio outside the Ballroom, which can be used for your cocktail reception, weather permitting. You can also hire The Coach House for your canapés and welcome drinks should you need an indoor space.

Do you provide bar staff or waiting staff?
No, this will be provided by your catering team or bar company.

Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes, you can bring your own alcohol, including beer, wine, spirits and all your soft drinks, with no limit.

Is there a corkage fee?
Corkage is complimentary.

If I hire my own caterer, is there a kitchen available for them?
Yes, we have a kitchen available in the ballroom. We also have space outside the kitchen for your catering company to put up a pop-up marquee if necessary. We do ask that your caterer comes for a site visit to see the space and the facilities we provide. For the Coach House we have a prep kitchen and space outside the kitchen for a pop-up kitchen for cooking and/or frying.

Is cutlery, crockery and glassware included?
No, this will be provided through your catering company.

Do you have onsite bins?
Yes, we have outdoor bins on the patio.

What time do you allow music to play until?
We allow music to go on until midnight, however you will need to check with your DJ or band what time they are contracted until.

Can you accommodate a live band or DJ?
Yes, we can.

Do you have a built-in sound system?
No, this will be provided by your DJ or band for the evening.

What time will our evening reception need to finish?
Your evening reception will need to finish by midnight.

What insurance is needed for vendors?
Depending on what your vendors are providing, we will ask for the following, as applicable: Public Liability Insurance, Food Hygiene certificates, Health & Safety documents, PAT testing.

Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, we do. Please ask for a copy if you require it.

What is our payment plan?
This will be found in your contract, however we need a deposit to secure your date. The remainder of your venue cost will be paid two months before your event. We also require a damages deposit, which will be refunded within 14 working days of your event.

Do I need wedding insurance?
If it is possible, we would highly recommend taking out wedding insurance.

Can our photographers and videographers use drone equipment?
Yes, we allow the use of drones.

Can our photographers and videographers use a crane?
Yes, we allow the use of cranes.

Is the venue licensed for civil ceremonies?
Yes, we are licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships inside the Ballroom or under the Pergola on the lawn of The Lakeside Suite.

Do you allow havans as part of a Hindu ceremony?
Yes, we do.

Can I hold my Nikkah ceremony as part of an Islamic ceremony at The Lakeside Suite?
Yes, you can.

Can I hold my Chuppah ceremony as part of a Jewish ceremony at The Lakeside Suite?
Yes, you can.

How much parking do you have on site?
We have approximately 130 spaces, which can vary depending on vehicles. We are able to accommodate coaches, buses and mini vans.

Do you have accommodation on site?
Unfortunately we do not have any overnight accommodation on site. Please see our list of local hotels available to you.

Is there an area for me to get ready in the morning?
You can hire Stoneybrook Cottage to get ready. Please note that Stoneybrook Cottage is only available for day use and not overnight stay.

The Lakeside Suite is located in a small village called Peatling Parva in South Leicestershire.

Is the venue easy to access from the motorway?
The venue is located just 15 minutes from Junction 1 of the M6 and 10 minutes from Junction 20 of the M1.

Is there free parking on site?
Yes, we have complimentary parking for guests on site.

Is overnight parking allowed?
We cannot be responsible for cars left overnight. If you do leave your car overnight, please inform our security staff. You will also need to collect your car the following day by midday (12.00).

Are taxis/Ubers readily available from the venue?
We suggest that taxis are pre-booked for your collection from the venue.

Is there accommodation for me on site?
Unfortunately we do not have any on-site accommodation, however please see our local hotel list.

Are there baby-changing facilities?
Yes, we have baby-changing facilities in the ballroom and Coach House.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
Yes.

We have no lifts on site. The only stairs are in the bridal suite.
